CUE: Europe’s first artificial surf reef was opened at Boscombe in Bournemouth in November, and has been embroiled in controversy from the outset. The reef’s performance was due to be analysed by Plymouth University to mark six months of it opening, but now the local council are refusing to release the details of a verbal consultation earlier this week. Joel Flynn tried to find out whether it really is working. 18 January 2010 Aslive interview with Donald Collier, Deputy Leader of Poole Borough Council and Portfolio Holder for the Environment.
